Oregon 2007

  • Beach_whoa
John and I went to Oregon at the end of June 2007. We both competed in the the USAT Nationals - the amateur triathlon national championship - in a small town west of Portland. After the race we drove through some beautiful woodsy mountains to see the Oregon coast. This album has a few pictures before the race, and about a million of John riding a horse on the beach.

Hi, Tasterspoon,
Don't know whether it's "legal" in the blogworld or not, but I am delighted you took the time to follow me over here and comment. So I checked out your site, too! I love how my world is being expanded by discovering blogs. How else would a 56-year-old quilting nurse from NC meet a young environmentally-conscious triathlon athlete from San Francisco? I am impressed with your eat local challenge--I think you did well.
As for Flylady, well, I just came home with an armload of stuff from Wal-Mart yesterday, so you see I still have to fight my packrat habits. A lot of it was disposable--candy for the kidlets--but not environmentally respectful (paper plates, cups, napkins). But it won't be taking over my home and causing me to isolate myself from the world, so I figure I'm still victorious over CHAOS.
And if you like to have things available for throwing impromptu parties, well, that isn't going against her guidelines. As long as your home feels peaceful and is a refuge for you, you've accomplished what she teaches.
