Oregon 2007

  • Beach_whoa
John and I went to Oregon at the end of June 2007. We both competed in the the USAT Nationals - the amateur triathlon national championship - in a small town west of Portland. After the race we drove through some beautiful woodsy mountains to see the Oregon coast. This album has a few pictures before the race, and about a million of John riding a horse on the beach.

That's a really pretty spread. Well done! We bought our turkey at the last minute too. I let it sit out for a few hours (like you're not supposed to do) and then ran some hot water over the ice on the inside before seasoning it and tossing it in the oven. Came out fine.

This is like a movie! So sweet. I love that you flew, and pulled a gourmet meal out of your butt. Okay, out of your pantry and Safeway, but still. Wowie!

Fraulein: Thanks! And I'm glad yours turned out. I think salmonella is overhyped. (Famous last words.)

Kelli: It WAS like a movie! With a dinner-making montage!

So glad you were able to get together for Thanksgiving. :) Last year was so much fun. No turduckens this year -- I went to my uncle's in Texas.

TasterSpoon

Hey Mrs. C - Ace and I were agreeing last night that we're really glad to hear you had a plan and company this year. That turducken will never be topped.
